# A 26-day plan

Building the whole course at once is a convenience, not a study method.
**Spacing is what makes recall stick.** Open the sets on these days rather than
bingeing them. Day 1 is whenever you start; count forward to your own test date.

| Day | Do this |
|---|---|
| 1 | Lesson 1 (Rights & Responsibilities) + its drill |
| 2 | Lesson 2 (Who We Are) + drill; redo Lesson 1 drill |
| 3 | Lesson 3 (History I: to 1867) + drill |
| 4 | Lesson 4 (History II: 1867–1914) + drill; redo Lesson 2 |
| 5 | Lesson 5 (History III: the wars) + drill |
| 6 | Lesson 6 (Modern Canada) + drill; redo Lesson 3 |
| 7 | **Review day** — redo drills 1–6, no new material |
| 8 | Lesson 7 (How Canadians Govern Themselves) + drill |
| 9 | Lesson 7 again — this is the hardest chapter |
| 10 | Lesson 8 (Federal Elections) + drill |
| 11 | Lesson 9 (Justice System) + drill; redo Lesson 7 |
| 12 | Lesson 10 (Canadian Symbols) + drill |
| 13 | Lesson 11 (Economy) + drill; redo Lesson 8 |
| 14 | **Review day** — redo drills 7–11 |
| 15 | Lesson 12 (Regions & Capitals) + drill |
| 16 | Lesson 13 (Ontario & Central Canada) + drill |
| 17 | **Mock Exam A** (timed). Score it. Note weak chapters. |
| 18 | Re-drill the two weakest chapters from Mock A |
| 19 | **Mock Exam B** (timed) |
| 20 | Reference sheets: dates, names, numbers |
| 21 | **Mock Exam C** (timed) |
| 22 | Re-drill weakest chapters; regional sheet |
| 23 | **Mock Exam D** (timed) |
| 24 | **Mock Exam E** (timed) + review every missed question |
| 25 | **Mock Exam F** (timed). Light day. |
| 26 | Reference sheets only. Confirm test logistics. Sleep. |
| — | **Test day.** |

If a day is missed, skip forward rather than doubling up — the schedule's value
is the spacing, not the completeness.

## Why the mocks are late in the plan

Mocks A–F are six disjoint 20-question slices of one seeded shuffle, so no
question appears in two of them and each is reproducible. That makes them a
measurement instrument, and you only get six readings. Spending them early,
before the lessons have landed, wastes them.

## Two things to look up yourself

1. **Your own representatives.** Guide pages 70–74 ask for your riding, MP, MPP,
mayor and councillor. Lesson 13 has a table for them; what you type is saved
on that device only and is never published.
2. **Test-day logistics.** Re-read section 2 of
   [`research/exam-mechanics.md`](research/exam-mechanics.md) the day before:
ID required, webcam and browser rules, the sign-in window.
